The Boston Public Garden

The Boston Public Garden is located adjacent to Boston Common, another historic park, and is close to many other notable landmarks in the city, including Beacon Hill and the Massachusetts State House.

The Boston Public Garden is a beautiful and historic botanical garden located in the heart of Boston. It is the first public botanical garden in the United States, established in 1837.
In Boston Public Garden I found the “Good Will Hunting Bench. This bench is famous because it was featured in the 1997 film “Good Will Hunting”, starring Matt Damon and Robin Williams. In the movie, the character Will Hunting (played by Matt Damon) and his therapist, Sean Maguire (played by Robin Williams), have a pivotal scene on this bench.

Matt Damon and Robin Williams developed a strong friendship after working together on “Good Will Hunting”. Their bond went beyond just being co-stars; they shared mutual respect and genuine affection for each other.

Their friendship was described as both playful and deeply insightful, and it had a lasting impact on both of them. Williams’s tragic passing in 2014 left a significant void in Damon’s life, and he has spoken publicly about how much Williams meant to him.

The bench in the Boston Public Garden has become a place where fans leave flowers and messages in tribute to Robin Williams.
In the Boston Public Garden, you’ll commonly see Eastern Gray Squirrels. These squirrels are quite active and entertaining to watch, I gave my favorite one the name Rocky J.
