Story Behind Our Logo

The Lewis and Clark icon in the logo symbolizes one of my greatest adventures. As I traced the historic Natchez Trace, a winding path connecting Mississippi to Tennessee, I stumbled upon the Meriwether Lewis Monument. Lewis and Clark, those intrepid explorers, had always fascinated me. Inside the recreated Grinder’s Stand Inn, history whispered its secrets.
Meriwether Lewis met his mysterious end here on October 11, 1809. His unmarked grave lay just 200 yards from the inn until a long-overdue memorial service in 2009. Inspired by their map, I vowed to retrace their steps. My journey began in St. Louis, paying homage at Bellefontaine Cemetery, where William Clark rests, gazing toward the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers.
But the logo isn’t just about Lewis and Clark; it’s a fusion of historical places in the 49 states of America, including Canada, that touched my soul. Route 66, the iconic American highway stretching from Chicago to Los Angeles, grew on me as I traveled on the historical single greatest wartime mobilization. I have travelled from America to the Great White North, aka, Canada via train and cruised to the Caribbean Sea.
With my extensive travel experience, fellow history buffs can gain valuable information regarding tours, train, and cruise journeys. My logo symbolizes the essence of the open road, telling stories of diners, neon signs, and cross-country journeys.
And there, rising like an inspiration stands the Statue of Liberty, which made me feel free and hopeful. As for the inclusion of the 25 de Abril Bridge in the logo, well, it depicts that I have traveled through some of the greatest bridges of America, like the Royal Gorge Bridge, the Seven Bridges of Madison County, and so many more.
The logo represents my spirit of adventure and my love for our American history, inspiring you to join us on a timeless journey in pursuit of discovery and the thrill of the unknown.

Coba, Ancient Maya City

I started my journey on a cruise that transported me back in time to the Ancient City of Coba. As I stepped into the lush jungles and stood before the towering pyramids, I felt a deep connection to the history that surrounded me. Walking along ancient pathways, I could almost hear the echoes of the Mayan civilization. The trip’s highlight was climbing the Nohoch Mul pyramid, the highest in the Yucatán. Reaching the top and taking in the breathtaking views was nothing short of exhilarating, it was here I felt like a true adventurer.

The 981-Mile-Long Ohio River Train

On this trip, I witnessed the landscape gradually shift from cityscapes to serene rolling hills. The train’s rhythm seemed to sync with my heartbeat as we passed through charming small towns. At one point, I caught a glimpse of deer grazing in the distance, a peaceful moment that made the trip feel peaceful. When the mighty Ohio River finally came into view, sparkling under the sun, it was a sight to behold. The journey let my thoughts wander, and never had I felt so refreshed.

Grand Canyon, Arizona

Riding the train through rugged terrain, I knew the Grand Canyon was just ahead. As I approached, the canyon unfolded before my eyes like nature’s masterpiece. Sitting by the window, I had the best seat in the house to see the layers of red rock stretching endlessly, their colors shifting with the sun. It was a view that made me want to sit back, breathe deeply, and savor the raw beauty of the landscape—a reminder of why I love adventure.

Cascade Range, North America

I found myself on a train cutting through the heart of the Cascade Range, and it was nothing short of breathtaking. Towering peaks dusted with snow loomed on the horizon, and dense forests stretched as far as the eye could see. I also get a sight of a hidden waterfall cascading down the mountainside. It was the kind of journey where I sat back and relaxed, and the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest washed over me. The experience was so amazing that it felt like the landscape itself was telling a story.

West Coast and Coastal Areas

Snow-capped peaks towered above me, and pine forests stretched out for miles as I journeyed through these alpine wonders. The crystal-clear lakes looked like they had been plucked straight from a postcard. As the train wound its way through the mountains, I was in awe of the wildlife, waterfalls, and epic glacier views that seemed to appear around every bend. It was an experience where nature revealed itself in all its glory, leaving me with memories of some of the most breathtaking scenery I’ve ever seen.

The Native Appalachian Mountains

As the train approached West Virginia, I found myself discovering the Appalachian Mountains in all their glory. We glided past lush valleys and alongside rivers that twisted and turned like a lazy summer afternoon. Passing by old coal towns that whispered stories of the past, I felt as if I had stepped into a different era. On this ride, I experienced the wild, untamed spirit of West Virginia, a place where history and nature are deeply intertwined.

Cojimar, Havana

Sailing to Cojímar on a Cuba cruise felt like stepping into a page from “The Old Man and the Sea.” The charming fishing village, which inspired Hemingway’s iconic novella, was even more enchanting in person. As I wandered the same streets where Hemingway once found his muse, savored local seafood at a quaint café, and got the coastal vibes, I could feel the essence of his legendary tales. This trip allowed me to walk in Hemingway’s footsteps and experience the world that shaped his stories.

Cruise to the Caribbean

Each island we visited had its own unique charm, from the colorful streets of Curaçao, where the pastel-hued buildings lined the waterfront, to the lush rainforests of Dominica, where I hiked through dense greenery to discover hidden waterfalls. The beaches were nothing short of paradise—powdery white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters that seemed to stretch endlessly. I found myself snorkeling in the vibrant coral reefs of Bonaire, surrounded by a kaleidoscope of marine life, and savoring the local flavors in Trinidad, where the spices and rhythms of the island came alive in every dish.

Anchorage, Alaska

When I sailed through Anchorage, it was like entering a gateway to Alaska’s wild, natural beauty. As the cruise ship glided through the icy waters, the breathtaking scenery unfolded around me—towering mountains, glistening glaciers, and dense forests that seemed to stretch into the horizon. When we docked, I was eager to explore the rugged terrain and experience the raw, natural splendor of the area. Hiking through the trails, I encountered wildlife in its natural habitat and marveled at the serene beauty of the landscape and adventure that’s hard to find elsewhere.

San Diego, California

Visiting “The Whaley House” in San Diego was like reading a ghost story come to life. Known as America’s most haunted house, the atmosphere was warm with history and mystery as soon as I walked through the doors. The creaking floorboards and dimly lit rooms seemed to whisper tales of the past, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that I wasn’t alone. As I toured the house, I learned about the tragic events and eerie occurrences that have earned it its haunted reputation. Whether or not you believe in ghosts, there’s no denying that this place has an aura that can leave anyone with chills.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Dunn’s River Falls near Ocho Rios is truly one of the most iconic spots I’ve visited. We started at the bottom, where the cool, refreshing water splashed against the rocks, and slowly made our way up, hand in hand, climbing the tiers together. It was an adventure, but I took our time to fully explore the lush greenery that enveloped the area. By the time I reached the top, I felt a sense of accomplishment, as though I had conquered something truly amazing.
