Red Stick

In 1699, French explorers were traveling up the Missippi River and saw bloodied red poles on the side of the river.
 
The “red stick” were markings of the boundaries between the hunting grounds of two native Native American Tribes.
 
In French Baton Rouge means “Red Stick”.
 
The local Louisiana Seafood is incredible. It’s a Great small Southern town
