The Parker House Restaurant is famous for the invention of the Boston Cream pie and the Parker rolls in 1856. The bread had many copycat recipes. However. The official remained a secret until 1933 when President Franklin Roosevelt requested they be served at a White House Dinner.
Malcolm X then known as Malcolm Little, worked as a busboy at the hotel in the 1940s. Emeril Lagasse served as sous-chef in the Parker’s kitchens from 1979 to 1991.
In 1913 Ho Chi Minh claimed he worked as a baker at the hotel
