The Pencil

I stayed at the Belleview Inn, located in Belleair, Florida, it is a historic and beloved retreat that dates back to 1897. Originally built by Henry Plant, a Gilded Age railroad and steamship tycoon, the inn has undergone significant renovations, most recently in 2018.

The inn features 35 guest rooms and suites, and they delivered a complimentary breakfast in a basket to my door in the morning.

The Belleview Inn, formerly known as the Belleview Biltmore Hotel, has a reputation for being haunted. Over the years, there have been numerous reports of paranormal activity and ghost sightings.

One of the most famous legends involves the ghost of Henry Plant’s wife, who is said to haunt the halls of the hotel, looking for her 1.2 million string of pearls that she lost in the hotel.

The Belleview Inn is conveniently located near the Belleair Country Club, which features two elite golf courses: the West Course and the East Course. This is the oldest and first golf facility in Florida, dating back to 1897, when they were developed alongside the original Belleview Inn by Henry Plant.

They asked me if I brought my clubs to play. I said, “No but I did bring my number club.”

“The Pencil.”

I also went to the Island Way Grill Known for its fresh seafood.
